  1. That's why I love Siku, because of the catalog! I have a friend that still has a few catalogs from the early 90's. Even now they're good at it and feature a catalog on their website. I have stopped buying their 1:64 scale line because the tires can be taken of really easily and that represents a choking hazard (which you Ian do not mind as I can see by your site title :D) or at the very least a toy car with no tires :(. I prefer the 1:55 scale for toddlers. Check out my collection of Siku Toy Cars.

The Jeep looks amazing but as I said... maybe in a few years when my kid gets older and if he's still into diecasts.

    1. I don't recommend 1:60/1:64 either. But I also don't recommend 1:55 (or even larger scale diecast) for toddlers. Anything small to a hands of a toddler is a choking hazard. Siku, as well as other brands, also contains small plastic parts/moving parts that might break easily when roughly played with unless takin with precaution and with adult supervision. Plastic toys like Playskool or Fisher Price are more suitable for those ages.

I have a few Sikus here but mostly Mini Coopers. What I love about them is how detailed (ie: rims, grilles, etc.) their models even those in 1:64 series. I only wish they could've expand their car model line up; loved to see a Shelby or any muscle/Japanese cars to have that "Siku Treatment" :D
