Hotwheels: Ecto-1 Retro Entertainment

Since the new Ghostbusters movie will be on cinemas in the next two weeks, I thought I'd share a few snaps of my Hotwheels Retro Entertainment Ecto-1.  I only have two of these, the other one is the 1st edition.  I am still on the hunt, though not really in a hurry, for the other models like the Ecto-1A, the Ecto-1 cartoon version, and the new Ecto-1/Ecto-2 set.

One of the sought after casting in Hotwheels in my opinion.

This one I made out of the photo above. The slimer image is the one printed on the card.  Just toying around in Photoshop to see what  I can  come up with using those images.  And I think it turned out great.. what do you think? ;)
Thanks for looking.

Matchbox: Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA

Another great casting from Matchbox, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA.

This is one of the cars that I have collected based on its appearance and not because its an Alfa or a Giulia or for some special value. The moment I saw one in a toystore several years ago, I instantly fell in love in this model. It's small, it's cute! It makes you think  what is it like to drive one for real.  My 1st Giulia was a white regular version and then the latest is the red version from Superfast.

L-R: red version from Superfast and 2007

L-R: white version from (forgot the year). The first two cars have different license plate on the rear  The one at front is from Matchbox Best of International with clear windows and clover logo on the side.

from Superfast (red) and Best of International (white)

Only recently I heard about this car's fate with Matchbox thru a fellow collector and an article/videoblog from http://lamleydlm.blogspot.com/2015/12/it-is-so-nice-to-have-alfa-romeo-back.html explaining why if you haven't heard of that yet. It's an interesting story.
So that's it. Thanks for looking.

Matchbox: Dodge A100 Pickup

One of the many castings that I like from Matchbox, the Dodge A100 pickup.
If you're like me who plays or photographs his diecast every so often, you'll love this model. It goes along well with other cars when you play them side-by-side, making it also a perfect 1:64 diorama piece. Despite the car lacking headlight and tail light treatment as we normally see on other MBX models, it is still an awesome casting overall.

So there, I hope we get to see more of these in Matchbox's future lineup.
Thanks for looking.
